4. Conclusion
Storm overflows are designed neither to allow metrological monitoring, nor to facilitate their simulation by models, and are subject to significant layout constraints. Nevertheless, a whole range of solutions are available to deal with most of the configurations encountered, sometimes at the cost of successive fine-tuning and approximations, the consequences of which are not always easy to assess. A major challenge is therefore to adapt the resources deployed to the quantity and quality of the information obtained.
