ABSTRACT
This article addresses the applications of electricity in buildings. It details the classical uses (lighting, heating, security) and the present status of autonomous electrical power production. Other uses in communication, and home and building automation are also presented. Trends in light sources, the new thermal regulations RT 2012 and the recharging of battery-driven vehicles are also addressed.
