5.1 Useful and used data
Data is essential to the development of a new kind of agriculture, enabling us to intervene as closely as possible to needs, to alert farmers, to adjust agronomic models, and to maintain consumer confidence and product traceability.
The scientific challenges associated with this panoply of data are numerous and concern both upstream and downstream:
sensors and data acquisition methods (robustness, cost, interoperability, etc.) to characterize the state of vegetation (diseases, deficiencies), animals (physiological, health, emotional, growth, needs) and the environment;
methods for integrating and processing massive, heterogeneous data ;
