2. Trends in NMVOC emissions in France and by sector

France, through the ratification of international treaties (Kyoto, Rio, Geneva, Gothenburg...), is committed to reducing VOC emissions into the atmosphere. Controlling VOC-laden gaseous emissions requires a global view of emission trends over a given territory. In France, CITEPA (Centre Interprofessionnel Technique d'Etudes de la Pollution Atmosphérique) is responsible for the technical production of national inventories of atmospheric pollutant emissions for the Ministry of Ecological Transition, in accordance with the NEC directive on national emission ceilings (2016/2284/EU). An annual reference report is published in SECTEN (SECTeur émetteur et ENergie) format on air pollutants and in particular on VOCs NM . These data are accessible to all on the website [ https://www.citepa.org/fr/secten/...
