3. Handling successive cofunctions
Revalorizations, on the other hand, involve the multiple use of physical entities at different times. These are referred to as successive cofunctions. This last type of cofunctions is analyzed at the level of a given process in several methods; we then come back to a problem of simultaneous cofunctions. Other methods have developed analyses at the level of the life cycle of a resource or cascade system, to take account of the succession of functions.
Successive cofunctions correspond to the case of open-loop revaluations. In this case, a resource successively fulfills different functions at different times. Often dealt with in LCAs, the study of revaluations has even largely contributed to their notoriety.
