4. Conclusion

Assignment problems still require a great deal of research, especially when it comes to taking account of upgrades. In particular, it is vital to develop suitable databases. As we can see, results can vary widely depending on the method used. A great deal of work remains to be done to define a method that is applicable while not omitting important aspects.

When it comes to upgrades, it's important to determine the long-term, long-distance future, otherwise there's a risk that problems will be transferred further afield or to future generations. What's true for problems is also true for positive aspects. Likewise, producing objects that can be put to many interesting uses over a long period of time should be taken into account, even if this takes place elsewhere or at a later date.
