5.1 Summary of insights provided by LCAs of electric vehicles
Lifecycle analysis enables us to assess the strengths and weaknesses of electric vehicles, compared with other types of motorization. However, care must be taken when drawing conclusions from an LCA study comparing electric and combustion-powered vehicles: each study concerns a specific type of vehicle, and generalizing the conclusions to other types of vehicle would require adaptation.
