2. Main pollutants, mechanisms and ways of affecting the environment
Diagnosis requires knowledge of the biological, hydraulic and mechanical mechanisms at work in the waste massifs or their immediate environment, which we will review in this section after identifying and characterizing the various pollutants involved and their mode of action on the various environmental media. We'll be focusing on the problem of household waste sites, which are more complex and wide-ranging, and more frequent than industrial sites, where the same treatment techniques are often used to solve the problem.
