5.1 An example from a government agency: the Orne Departmental Territorial Directorate

In 2004, the DDE de l'Orne, which has since become the DDT, employed 580 people across 13 sites. Wishing to be part of the national sustainable development strategy, it began to think in terms of eco-responsibility.

For the DDE, the approach took the form of :

  • a presentation of the eco-responsible administration guide to the DDE management committee. This validation is essential in order to involve department heads right from the start of the process and create momentum;

  • the signing of an agreement between ADEME and the DDE to formalize the approach and make the guide available to the DDE;...
