2. Sampling odorous gases: recommended methods
Note: the sampling methods described in NF X 43-104 also apply to physico-chemical analyses of odorous gases (however, the text does not deal with additional packaging specific to physico-chemical analyses). This field of application is not specified in the new European standard.
2.1 Materials and equipment

In NF X 43-104, the materials recommended for sampling are corrosion-resistant, inert to the compounds sampled, odorless and low-adsorbent; stainless steel, glass and fluorinated polymers manufactured by fusion (e.g. Teflon) are cited.
