2. Description of the ISO 14001-2015 standard

2.1 General

ISO 14001-2015 has a structure common to all ISO management system standards (notably ISO 9001), with paragraphs specific to environmental management. The result is a presentation based on paragraph headings that is completely different from those of the 2004 version.

The ISO 14001-2015 standard remains based on the Deming wheel principle (see figure 1 ) and the PDCA concept: P (Planning), D (Do), C (Check), A (Act).
