7. EMS registration
There are no significant differences in terms of certification audit activities between EMAS and ISO 14001 . The certifier/verifier will carry out the activities in a similar way, following the prescriptions and other requirements laid down by each of the reference systems. The following sections present the EMAS regulation's specific requirements in terms of EMS registration.
7.1 First recording
When an organization meets all the above requirements, it is able to submit a formal application for registration in accordance with the procedures set out in Article 5.
