4. Detection tests

4.1 Target selection

To test the performance of our system for VOC detection, we selected four analytes representing four different chemical families (table 1 ).

A gas dilution bench has been set up upstream of the detection cell to enable detection tests to be carried out on the various VOCs. The experiments consist in alternately exposing the microbalances to pure air, then to air polluted by a VOC vapor. For each vapor, a mother bottle supplied by Air Liquide is available: MEC 400 ppmv, CH 2 Cl 2 750 ppmv, toluene 200 ppmv and C 6 H ...
