6. Containment inspections, acceptance and monitoring
Every containment project is subject to control and monitoring procedures. Controls cover all phases of the project, right up to acceptance of the containment works. After acceptance, general site monitoring begins, to assess the durability of the containment system. Controls on the execution and acceptance of work may, where appropriate, be preceded by a preliminary procedure to verify the feasibility of the solutions selected, using test plots.
