3.1 CDU definition
The aim of this type of equipment is to manage the flow of goods through the city, channelling them to a site where they are grouped and ungrouped ("cross-docking" operations) before being delivered to the final destination. Symmetrically, the same applies to shipments.
CDUs optimize routes by recomposing shipments, thus maximizing vehicle fill and limiting the number of kilometers traveled
