2.1 Epidemiological data
The main sources of data on the determinants of health status or the health care system come from public or private health organizations (hospitals, care centers, pharmacy networks, Ministry of Health, health insurance companies, national and international surveillance networks, veterinary surveillance). The data describes individuals or care pathways, with attributes on health status, pathologies, and general attributes on the individual or his/her behavior, such as age, sex, weight, etc. Attributes can be qualitative (e.g. profession, age) or qualitative (e.g. age, sex, weight, etc.). Attributes can be qualitative (profession, sex, etc.), numerical representing quantities (number of children), numerical representing values (weight, blood pressure...)...
