3. What is the solar factor
The solar factor of a glazing unit is the ratio of the total energy entering a room to the incident solar energy.
The total energy is the sum of the energy transmitted directly and the energy re-emitted towards the interior following the heating of the inner wall by energy absorption (figure 4 ).
