2.1 Types of heat supply systems
The heat supply system comprises all the installations and equipment in the heat production, transport, distribution and consumption chain.
Heat supply systems can be classified according to several aspects.
An initial classification can be made according to the type of heat consumers served by the heat supply system. In this respect, we can distinguish heat supply systems that supply the following categories of user: urban consumers, tertiary consumers, industrial consumers and vegetable and/or flower greenhouses.
