1.1 A definition of a robot
Until now, robots have not been defined in French or European law. As a result, there have been as many definitions as there have been authors. Thus, a robot is "a human creation that can be technically defined as an artificial device, tangible or intangible, designed to perform operations according to a fixed or modifiable program, possibly with learning capabilities" .
