2.1 Resonant systems

Energy recovery from mechanical vibrations is based on the use of a resonant inertial system with a natural frequency equal to or close to that of the excitation to which the system is subjected. There are usually three families of generators :

  • resonant generators with speed-proportional damping ;

  • resonant generators with a damping force having a constant amplitude opposite to the displacement;
