2. Model development strategies

The method and order of parameter analysis depend essentially on the data available at the outset.

Two strategies are possible.

2.1 First method: sources are known

The data (in addition to room acoustics) are :

  • sources and their directivity ;

  • the distance from the source plane to the listening plane.

Based on the PPCE model, we successively determine :

  • the angle of first cancellation ;

  • the radius of the equivalent piston ;

  • opening angle at 2000 Hz ;
