7. Working methods of standards organizations. Cooperation agreements
International, European and French standards bodies have similar working methods. However, their working methods cannot be considered identical. Furthermore, the technical experts who are called upon from all sides must be able to work as efficiently as possible. They are helped in this by cooperation agreements between the different levels of standardization.
To better understand how international, European or national standards are drawn up, it is important to remember that the international standard is a recommendation which the IEC asks its member committees to use as far as possible without modification, or after adaptation to national practices.
