Expression of need
Define before you choose: the designer of a machine needs to achieve the desired results in his particular discipline. However, it's only with the right sensors that he can prevent failures, check performance compliance or improve settings. So it's a good idea to choose as early as possible the sensor best suited to your machine's application.
General information: it goes without saying that as much general information as possible should be given to the sensor supplier, to facilitate contact between user and designer, and to clarify acceptance, warranty and environmental conditions. If possible, the user should draw up an application data sheet such as the one attached as an example (see Box 1).
