 INTRODUCTION

Voltage (or current) dividers are calibrated reducers that enable high values of these quantities (100 V to 300 kV for voltages) to be measured using metrological devices designed for lower values.

Their applications range from direct current to alternating current (sinusoidal or non-sinusoidal) and pulse currents (surges, transients). Only DC and AC current dividers will be discussed in this article.
