1. Video application

Various screen sizes are currently available on the market, starting with 32" (81 cm) screens and currently going up to 102" (2.60 m) for a 16:9 format that predisposes them to home cinema applications. Nowadays, there are several resolutions used or planned for these screens, of which we give an overview below (H: horizontal, V: vertical):

  • 853 (H) × 480 (V) progressive 16:9 ;

  • 852 (H) × 1024 (V) interlaced 16:9 ;

  • 1,024 (H) × 1,024 (V) interlaced 16:9 ;

  • 1280 (H) × 768 (V) progressive 4:3 ;

  • 1,365 (H) × 768 (V) progressive 16:9 ;

  • 1,920 (H) × 1,080 (V) progressive 16:9.
