5. Thermal compensation circuits
Theoretically, thermal effects act in the same way on all four branches of the bridge, and therefore cancel each other out to a first approximation, but when we want to achieve a certain degree of precision (e.g. 0.005% / °C), we need to discuss this theoretical evidence.
Among the causes of thermal pests are :
voltage-generating thermoelectric effects ;
zero drift;
variations in sensitivity.
Let's consider these phenomena in turn.
5.1 Effects of parasitic thermoelectric torques
They occur when the connecting wires are of a different metal to the gauges, and when there are thermal asymmetries...

Standardization
Extensometry does not lend itself to the establishment of standards as such. However, the documentation booklet below recalls, among other things, the concepts of elasticity which form the basis of extensometry.

The applications of extensometry are so varied that the technique is occasionally discussed by numerous technical associations. However, a number of industrial countries have set up associations or groups specializing in experimental stress analysis, of which extensometry is a major branch.
