4. Conclusion and outlook
Measurement technology based on Bragg gratings has a number of advantages: firstly, its sensitivity and linearity (within certain limits) to user-defined parameters (temperature, deformation, etc.), and secondly, the spectral demultiplexing possibilities offered by the finesse of the gratings. In addition to the traditional properties provided by optical fibers (electro-magnetic immunity, low weight and small diameter, resistance to harsh environments...), Bragg grating measurement has the decisive advantage (over other optical methods) of being able to be referenced absolutely, and therefore to make it possible to disconnect and reconnect sensors or the measurement system, without requiring recalibration (unlike, for example, interferometric measurements) since the spectral measurement is a "signature" independent of intensity fluctuations. The state of the art of this technique allows...

Data on the industrial context and its evolution
Since the early 90s, a number of players, mainly private companies, involved on the supply side in Bragg technologies have emerged, developing their activities and products.
It's worth noting, however, that several of the companies featured in the first edition of the Techniques de l'Ingénieur
