5. Non-automatic weighing instrument (NAWI)

Several concepts coexist for the realization of this architecture, in particular starting from the load balancer device:

  • mechanical design using either the acceleration of gravity g , or the restoring forces of a spring for example ;

  • magnetic design using magnetic pots or vibrating strings ;

  • electronic design using strain gauges.

Fully mechanical weighing instruments are no longer the main concern of manufacturers' design offices. However, it should be noted that :
