9. How it works

The procedure for calibrating a weight includes the following operations:

  • cleaning (if necessary) ;

  • thermal stabilization of the weight before calibration;

  • determination of stabilization time ;

  • mass comparator repeatability test;

  • weight calibration ;

  • calculating conventional mass ;

  • calculating measurement uncertainty ;

  • evaluation of results (classification) ;

  • issue a calibration certificate.
