6. Operation and use

6.1 Choice of electromagnetic process

It's important to make the right choice for your electromagnetic flowmeter, based on your needs and the instrument's properties. The first step is to understand your needs. The best way to do this is to draw up a brief specification. You need to specify the measurement objective, the desired accuracy, the operating conditions of your fluid, the possible mounting conditions on site, and the type of outputs required.

In some cases, the electromagnetic flowmeter may not be suitable for the intended purpose. For example, conductivity may be too low.
