3.1 Industrial applications

For a time, parallel robots were seen as the solution to all problems, and generated a great deal of enthusiasm. Today, however, this is no longer the case, but there are sectors and applications in which they are more relevant than their serial counterparts. The following paragraphs describe some of these sectors, some of which already employ many parallel robots, and others which are still at the R&D project stage, often for fear of too much change.
