4. Conclusion
This introductory article summarizing current proposals for robot control software architectures has highlighted the central position of software development issues. One of the key points concerns the integration of the many functionalities of robots, knowing that they potentially result from diverse contributions, both in terms of the contributor's culture (automatician, business specialist, for example), the origin of the contribution in the sense of different scientific teams, and the technologies according to which these contributions have been realized. This integration is a real challenge, both scientifically, to pool the advances of different disciplines, and commercially, to achieve a mature robotics industry like the electronics industry, whose offering is able to integrate and draw on the multitude of components produced separately.
