4. Geographical routing
As in any network, routing protocols must be defined. When a message is received, the routing protocol determines whether it should be relayed, and if so, to whom. This is what enables data to be routed from one point in the network to another.
In a wireless sensor network, multi-hop routing is used to enable each sensor to communicate with a sink that is not necessarily within radio range. Numerous routing protocols exist in the literature and can be grouped into several families. Classical" routing protocols already developed for adhoc networks
