3. Software development process. Reminder

To understand the technical issues surrounding software counterfeiting, it is important to recall the main stages in the software creation process.

Of course, readers will be aware that, at the dawn of the twenty-first century, programs are no longer written as they were in the 1980s. However, we'll take up the chronology of that era again, because although it's no longer applied in the strict sense, it continues to be the intellectual driving force behind computer scientists.

We can therefore distinguish five stages in software development (figure 1 ).
