2. Model validation and verification
A Petri net representing the process control was obtained during the analysis and modeling stage. It was built by composing functions or behaviors that characterize the operation of parts of the system to be controlled.
The resulting model is said to be complete and to meet the expected function. However, does this model provide a correct description of what is desired? Has the composition of basic elements not introduced any cross-fertilization of these elements?
To do this, we need to validate this result, in an attempt to highlight any modeling errors, and confirm that the model conforms to the specifications by checking all the initial constraints.
