4. General conclusion
This article introduces the use of Petri nets in manufacturing production using two examples.
In the first part, a case study showed how to model a simple production line. The sizing and performance evaluation of the system were studied on the basis of the timed event graph obtained during the modeling phase. This example highlighted, at least in part, some of the advantages of the Petri net approach. We have briefly shown that the same family of tools is used for the specification, modeling, qualitative analysis, dimensioning and performance evaluation of the system under study.
The second part of this study described the implementation of a production planning system. This industrial case presented various techniques for solving this problem, and complemented the previous study by highlighting further advantages of the Petri net approach....
