1.1 Data transmission concept
Data transmission is a technique that transfers coded information from a sender to a receiver via a physical transmission medium. A terminal consisting of a keyboard and a screen is a simple data transmission system: information entered via the keyboard is transferred via a cable and made visible on the screen.
The sole purpose of a data transmission system is to transmit information, which in no way means that the information does not undergo processing or verification at some point.
