8. Non-exhaustive extraction methods
Alongside solid-phase extraction, which involves trapping targeted compounds for extraction with recovery rates close to 100%, other non-exhaustive extraction techniques have been developed to extract a fraction of the analytes present. These methods are based on the partition equilibrium of the compounds to be extracted between the sample and a solid support.
