2. How to use SECM

The main ways in which SECM is used are [6] :

  • feedback mode (FB) ;

  • generation/collection (GC) mode ;

  • penetration mode ;

  • direct mode ;

  • equilibrium disturbance mode ;

  • ion transfer mode at the interface between two immiscible electrolyte solutions (ITIES);

  • potentiometric mode.
