2. A reminder of "classic" solubilizers
The diversity of materials of interest in many fields, such as the automotive, chemical and electronics industries, but also in the geosciences, requires a range of specific processing techniques. Today, the latest developments in scientific instrumentation require us to pay particular attention to solution techniques. They have become the limiting factors in materials characterization, as M. Vernet and K. Govindaraju had already noted in the article [P 222].
Particular attention needs to be paid to the types of sample for which dissolution is required, as the matrix is the main factor in the choice of dissolution technique. As a reminder, we speak of dissolution in the case of an inorganic matrix, and digestion in the case of an organic matrix.
