 INTRODUCTION

Laboratory management software packages are IT tools comparable to CAPM (or ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning) in industry. The implementation of a GLAO – or Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is a strategic project for a laboratory, whatever its size, the nature of its activities or its organizational model. – The financial stakes are high, and so must the benefits in terms of improved quality and/or productivity. The specificities of this type of project are essentially linked to strong regulatory constraints, which vary according to continents and countries and the level of application within companies, but also to the particular profile of users who belong to the "Big Laboratory Family". It is essential to involve them as early as possible in the project, to make it a success in the best possible conditions. This is why the means deployed to ensure the success of this type of project must be, as we are wont to say, commensurate with the ambitions.
