4. Keys to a successful audit

4.1 Notion of success...

As already stated, an audit is successful when the auditor obtains the most accurate and reliable information in the shortest possible time. However, we mustn't forget that this success is only worthwhile if quality values are shared, and if those being audited feel they have made progress. How can we achieve this?

Firstly, the auditor must embody the values of quality: he or she is an ambassador for quality.

Secondly, they must encourage the people they meet to adhere to these values. And finally, the auditor must always remain loyal to these values, to his method and to those he audits.
