3. Transport auxiliaries

Professionals don't much appreciate this appellation, as it is not very valorizing, and does not reflect the importance and efficiency of the role played by these "auxiliaries" in the organization and management of transport chains. But the expression is traditional and even official, since auxiliaries are one of the three categories of regulated transport professions.

The situation is, however, exceedingly complex, as the many different trades into which the auxiliaries are divided do not all belong to the regulated transport professions, and the legal approach, while necessary, will only provide an incomplete and insufficiently detailed panorama. The same applies to the statistical approach we'll start with.
