3.1 Weight of transport in the economy
Economic forecasters and professional organizations periodically discuss the weight of transport in the economy in terms of production, employment, investment, etc. To do so, they refer to the transport sector, i.e. all commercial transport production by companies whose main or secondary activity is transport (see Note).
