2. Impulse method
The impulse method consists in replacing the trajectory calculation in the (11) problem by an analytical evaluation of the speed increment. This evaluation, based on the notion of propulsive ΔV, decouples the staggering problem from the trajectory problem, and allows us to proceed iteratively.
