Battery; battery
A system that stores electrical energy in chemical form and releases it in electrical form.
Accumulateur; accumulator
The accumulator is based on a reversible electrochemical system, i.e. it can be recharged, unlike the battery.
Ion; ion
An atom that has gained or lost an electron (neutral particle), which carries a positive or negative electric charge.
Electrode; electrode
Component based on active materials enabling the insertion and de-insertion of ions (for batteries using ion insertion for storage) at the positive and negative pole of an electrical generator.
