4. Communication system
CBTC systems are organized around a communication network including the wired part (network running along the infrastructure and in the technical rooms) and the wireless network for exchanges between the infrastructure and the trains. Virtually all CBTC suppliers use Ethernet/IP protocols for inter-equipment exchanges on this network.
