7. Conclusion
The issue of driver fatigue requires a clear understanding and definition. There are several definitions, and none is yet universally accepted by the research community. Without a clear definition, it is difficult to know and identify the causes of fatigue. Nevertheless, based on various definitions, the community has studied the variation of markers through measuring devices (electrometer, camera, vehicle sensors, etc.). Studies have shown that some markers are more relevant than others. However, there is no homogenization of protocols for studying markers, which makes comparisons between studies difficult. Physiological markers are the most direct because they are in contact with the body, but they require the right conditions to be collected. Measuring equipment for physiological markers is very sensitive to external noise (vibrations, movements, etc.).
