7. How to choose a non-ionic surfactant

Formulating surfactants requires a mastery that is learned through years of constant, systematic work. There are certainly no universal rules, and the choice of optimal non-ionic surfactant(s) depends on the other surfactants and the effects the formulation is intended to produce.
