6. Using BC NMR in self-contained flow reactors

On-line monitoring of flow reactions using NMR spectrometers makes it possible to modify or adjust experimental conditions very quickly, to maximize or minimize an objective (yield, productivity, cost, etc.), since a simple 1 H analysis can provide information on the content of a reaction crude in just a few tens of seconds. In this context, a new generation of autonomous flow reactors has emerged in recent years. To date, only a handful of teams worldwide have mastered these autonomous technologies, which require knowledge at the frontier of computer programming, chemical engineering and organic synthesis.
